Leroy L. Weaver Of Wellesley. October 12, 2010. Beloved husband of the late Rita M. (Carman). Devoted father of Sue Fitzsimmons, Judy Kelley, and Rick Weaver and his wife Marcia. Predeceased by his sons-in-law Joseph Fitzsimmons and Marty Kelley. Also survived by thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Weaver was a decorated Veteran of the United States Army Air Force, having flown a B-26 aircraft during the European Air Offensive and at Normandy. Among his many commendations, he was awarded both the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Metal with six Oak Leaf Clusters. In 1949 Mr. Weaver joined the Wellesley Police Department and rose through the ranks to become the town's fourth Chief of Police serving as Chief from 1973-1986.
