| Birth: | Nov. 4, 1892 Knox County Indiana, USA | | Death: | Jul. 17, 1964 Arizona, USA | Goldie traveled with a mule team throughout the west and midwest in the 1950s to mid 1960s. On the covered wagon he had the following words printed "Mule Train traveling America" and he also had the names of the cities and states he had been to printed on the canvas of the covered wagon. These are a few of the states I am sure he traveled through: Montana, Wisconsin, Colorado, Nevada, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Idaho, Utah, and Texas.
Goldie was not only my grandmother's 2nd husband but also her 1st cousin on her mother's side. It was a second marriage for both and they knew they would not be having any children as their children from their first marriages were grown and they had grandchildren by the time the two of the married at the famous BUCKSKIN JOE'S in Colorado in June 1960 // I have their original marriage certificate. [Buckskin Joe's closed after being in business 53 years]
YELLOWSTONE PETE'S FINAL RESTING PLACE IS NO LONGER A MYSTERY thanks to my friends here at FAG ~~~. I'd like to thank Bob Karberg and Phyllis (PJH/Angelbird) for taking the time to solve the mystery // it was a great help in filling in a gap in my "ROBBINS" family history // it's also great to finally know where Yellowstone Pete's mule team made their final stop.
We have never been able to find out any details of his death and some family members said he passed in Flagstaff, AZ and others say Tombstone, AZ. Vital Statistics in Arizona say they do not have a death certificate on file for him.
If you have any information about Yellowstone Pete or if you would like any information that I may have please feel free to e-mail me at tallen46@tampabay.rr.com.
