David D. Zellers 2nd Son, 5th born of 9 children of Daniel Boone Zellers and Mary (Long)Zellers born on the Zellers homestead in at that time Rockvale twp. now Mount Morris twp., married in 1876 to Laura Virginia Row, they had three children: Nettie Irene; Oliver Benton; and Beulah Viola all born in Mt. Morris Township, Ogle Co., IL. where they lived on the Zellers West Farm on Section 10 of that township. David purchased a farm in Dallas Co., IA. and moved there with his family in Feb. 1899 where he lived the remaining time of his life, he was involved in one of the largest shipments of livestock to Chicago from Iowa ever sent at one time. David retired and moved into Adel, Iowa where they lived for some period until his death.
David passed away after slipping on the ice striking his head on the ground. Cause of death Concussion
