Billy did a tour of duty in Viet Nam. This was the first war on Television so his mother watched the news daily to see if her son was being put in a body bag. The family was very grateful that she did not and that he did not come home that way. With the help of the GI Bill, He went to college at the University of Southern Mississippi, were he received a BA in Business. His parents Lonnie and Ileene and two sisters, Faye and Pat, and one neice, Teresa, preceded him in death. Survivors included one son, two brothers and two sisters and many neices and nephews. Billy was a warm and loving man. He was capable of pulling great pranks when appropriate and when help was needed he always knew exactly what to do.
