The son of J. Heinrich Siemon and A. Wilhelmina Beckmann Siemon, Henry George Simon was a farmer born February 19, 1871 in Camp Springs, Campbell County, Kentucky, one of six children. He married Apollonia Hoffmann Simon on August 08, 1893 in Campbell County, and they had eight children: Anna Christine Simon Stauber, Mary A. Simon Duvelius, Henry Simon, Bernard L. Simon, Elizabeth Ann Simon Wagner, Catherine Simon Bill, Bernadine Simon Deavy, and Dorothy Simon Pieper. He died at age 58 on May 18, 1929 in Campbell County and is buried next to his wife at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Wilder, Campbell County. His heritage was German, and his generation changed the spelling of the family name from "Siemon" to "Simon."
