Ida Florence Nicholson was born 1 Sep 1867 in the township of Williams, Benton County, Missouri. Her parents were Thomas Jefferson Nicholson of Wisconsin and Margaret Ann Lessley of Missouri. She married Ira Gipson 24 May 1885 when she was 17 years old. She and Ira had six children: Addie, Nora, John, Dee, Edith, and Gertrude.
Ida died Nov 26, 1947.
