Captain in the Infantry of Line,Virginia Militia,in 1835.During the war with Mexico elevated his rank to Major.
Master of Flat Rock Grange No.98,Brunswick county.
Son of Joshua Lucy and Elizabeth Kelly Lucy.
Married Martha A.Abernathy,December 16,1824;second wife,Martha Hardaway,December 17,1839 and Mary E.Short,widow of Richard T.Short,on December 16,1864.
The closing days of his life were spent as Assessor Lands for Brunswick County.
