You are taking a random walk through our online cemetery.

Death: Aug. 2, 2002
Denver

Our beloved son.

"A wife who loses a husband is called a widow. A husband who loses a wife is called a widower. A child who loses his parents is called an orphan. There is no word for a parent who loses a child. That's how awful the loss is." – An Orphan's Tale by Jay Neugeboren

Stephen died in a tragic automobile accident; he was just 28 years old.

Attended Denbigh Baptist Christian School and was part of the soccer and track teams. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in Dec 1994.

At the time of his death, Stephen was working out-of-state as an asbestos remover at Rocky Flats in Denver, CO. Along with his love for bowling, golf, and playing video games, Stephen loved playing with his two children and his nieces & nephews.

"Speaking for the children in our family, Uncle Stephen was the best. He was the leader of almost every game time. He made sure the rope got tied in the tree for your swing. He made sure birthday parties were happy occasions. He made days at Busch Gardens as memorable as could be. I think his favorite activity was having the children experience the latest wrestling move. How often we adults would hear words like 'He's got them, going for the last ride' followed by howls of laughter and kids yelling 'my turn, my turn'. Playtime ended often only after threats from us adults that the horseplay in the house had to stop and that includes you Uncle Stephen. Our children, most every child, knew they could ask Stephen for their favorite tryst and if possible, he granted their wish as if it were the thing he most wanted to do. For in those moments, the 'big Kid' became one of the kids, which is where he felt most comfortable."

Psalm 49:15 "…God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for He shall receive me."

"Go rest high on that mountain; son your work on earth is done. Go to heaven a shoutin', love for the Father and the Son."
