Reginald Ray Watkins was born December 19, 1916 in the Dixon, MS area; he graduated from Madden High School; in the 1930s he served in the Civilian Conservation Corps, (visiting 46 of the, then, 48 States). He married Bessie Gene Johnson on July 4, 1940. He was a farmer, well driller and father of 4 children. He died September 18, 1961.
