Whitney married Mildred Irene Evans on July 14, 1918 in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon. Together they had two children: Mildred Jean Rankin and John Michael Rankin.
Whitney's second wife was Phyllis Mae
Phyllis Mae, I have not yet discovered her maiden name as our families drifted apart after Grandpa Whitney's death. Phyllis is interred in the same grave as Whitney and Mildred is interred in the grave beside him.
