Robert served in the Canadian Armed Forces on 3 occasions, 1930-1934, 1934-1935 & 1939-1945. Once he left the military Robert worked as a freight handler for Direct Winters Transport located at Queen`s Quay on Toronto`s waterfront. Robert immigrated from Scotland, as a boy, with the rest of his family around 1925. He is my maternal grandfather.
