Barbara was born in Marion to the late Henry and the late Nancy (Hurd) Maples, and lived here all her life. She married Craig A. Hutchens on August 8, 1971. He survives.
She was a homemaker and previously worked at Pyles Industries of Huntington. She enjoyed crocheting and genealogy. Barbara was a member of Find A Grave.
Survivors include her husband, Craig A. Hutchens, Marion; daughter, Debra (Rick) Follis, Van Buren; son, Henry Hutchens, Marion; brother, Lee (Barbara) Maples, Sevierville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Aurora Follis and Tyler Follis, both of Van Buren; and special niece, Trish (Danny) Hindel, Bluffton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Anna Ruth Sotdorus.
