Clifford Leverette, Eleven Years Old Loss Life in Jena Wreck.
Mr. A. S. Leverette received a message this morning from Mrs. Leverette in Jena stating that their eleven year old son, Clifford, was killed early today in a railroad wreck. The message did not give any of the particulars of the accident. Mrs. Leverette and children left Monroe Sunday for a visit to Jena. Mr. Leverete will leave tonight for Jena. The remains will be brought to Monroe for interment. Mr. Leverette is an employee of the car department of the V., S. & P. shops. His home is on Washington street near Seventh.

Death of Clifford Leverette.
The body of Clifford Leverette, the eleven year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Leverette, who was killed Wednesday at Jena, reached Monroe on the 2:20 o'clock V., S. & P. train yesterday afternoon by way of Ruston and Winnfield. Interment was in Hasley cemetery above Trenton, the services being conducted by Rev. H. W. Ledbetter, pastor of the West Monroe Methodist church.
The boy, according to the report of the accident, started fishing with his grandfather and uncle, making the trip on the log train. When out a few miles the train collided with an incoming train and the boy was thrown under the car wheels where his body was badly mangled. He was killed instantly.
