The Blanchard's were descendents of the Great Upheaval (le Grand Dérangement), also known as the Great Expulsion or the Acadian Expulsion.
Isreal was the son of Theobert & Alida Daigle Blanchard.
He married Armance Arabie and were one of the first generations to migrate from Louisiana to Texas in the early to mid 1920's. They had 8 children: Ida Belle, , Lawrence Joseph, Clearance, Clenny
Dororthy, James Charles, Shirley and Adam Lee.
