She was born Feb. 22, 1938 in Seattle, was a resident of Buckley for 37 years and moved to South Prairie in 1994. A personnel officer for the state of Washington, she enjoyed cooking, traveling to the ocean and Arizona, fishing, painting, crocheting and she collects Elvis Presley. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Phil, at home; daughters Debby Hayes and husband Jeff of Graham, Jeanette West and husband Jay of Tacoma, Sheri Ashford and husband Dan of Bonney Lake, and Darla Mays and husband Charles of Lakewood; Son David Lee Hansen of Enumclaw; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sisters Julia Sorge, Lynn Favro, and her parents, Darl and Maxine baker.
Memorials are suggested to South Prairie and Buckley Fire-fighters Association of the Eagles Cancer Society.
