FRANCES ESTHER DARBY passed away on Friday, January 25, 2008 in Webster, Texas at the age of 94. She was born on December 23, 1913 in Chicago, IL to Frank and Eliza Andrews. She is preceded in death by her husband Harry and sister Elizabeth Vranek. Frances is survived by her daughter Marilyn Musial and her husband Wayne, son Kenneth Darby, grandchildren Julie Hurley and her husband Kevin, David Darby, Cherry Williams and her husband David, Robin Erickson and her husband Sam, Jamie Ownby and her husband Chris, twelve great-grandchildren including Darby Hurley and Jarrett Hurley, care giver Katharine Griffith, and her beloved dog Holly. She loved her family, traveling and being a homemaker. A visitation will begin on Sunday, January 27, 2008 at 5:00pm with a service at 6:00pm at Crowder Funeral Home, 111 E. Medical Center Blvd., Webster, Texas 77598 with Reverend Bill Cole officiating. A grave side service will take place on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 2:00pm at Cedar Park Cemetery in Calumet City, IL, under the direction of Cedar Park Funeral Home (773) 785-8840. In lieu of flowers, you may send memorials to The American Lung Association, 61 Broadway, New York, NY 10006.
