A. Christine Brumbaugh, 90, of Sugar Run Road, Cassville, went to be with the Lord at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012,, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon.

Born March 2, 1922, in Cass Township, she was the daughter of the late David S. and Pearl D. (McNeal) Hoover. She was united in marriage to George W. Brumbaugh Oct. 14, 1940, in Winchester, Va. Mr. Brumbaugh preceded her in death June 8, 1999.

Mrs. Brumbaugh is survived by a son, Terry L. Brumbaugh and his wife, Candy S. (Shiner), of Cassville; three grandchildren, April Hall and her husband Jamie, of Cassville, Terry L. Brumbaugh Jr. and his wife, Kim, of Hesston, and Michael K. Brumbaugh and his wife, Jessica, of Robertsdale; and seven great-grandchildren, Evan Germaux, Gavin and Marlee Hall, Gaige and Collin Brumbaugh and Jaivan and Arleingtyn Brumbaugh.

She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, John Strauser and his wife, Denise, Robert Strauser and his wife, Norma, Charles Strauser and his wife, Betty Jo, Gerald Strauser and his wife, Cheryl, Glenda Rhodes and her husband, Dean, and Chris Osborne and her husband, Alan; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mrs. Brumbaugh was preceded in death by a son, Danny; a daughter, Lois; and a sister, S. Eleanor Strauser.

She was a member of Beavertown Bible Church, Todd, where she belonged to the Golden Agers and the senior life group.

Mrs. Brumbaugh attended Saltillo and Robertsdale high school.

She was employed at the former Arrow Shirt Co., Huntingdon until it closed in 1978.

Mrs. Brumbaugh will be remembered by her family and friends as a devoted Christian mother and grandmother, and for the strength of her faith. She was a homemaker and gardener, and for many years produced homemade butter and other products for sale in Belleville. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren affectionately called her "Neenie."

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Beavertown Bible Church, Todd, with the Rev. James Thomas and the Rev. Jeff Knepper officiating. Interment will be in Cassville Cemetery, Cassville.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Brumbaugh may be made to Beavertown Bible Church, 17758 New Fording Road, Todd, PA 16685.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, Cassville.
