Blanche Griffith, 91, nee Perry, of Fredericksburg died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002, at Windcrest Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 17, at 3:30 p.m., in the Beckmann Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. D.G. McCoury officiating. Marilyn Jenkins was the organist and Lucinda Zesch, the vocalist. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Griffith was born on April 3, 1911, in Brady, the daughter of Edgar O. Perry and Nancy E. Ball Perry. She married Owen L. Griffith on May 14, 1940 in Mason and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Vera and Curtis Fiedler of Fredericksburg, one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters: Everett Lee Perry, Wayne Edgar Perry, Wade Orlando Perry, Ivy Lorena O'Neal, Montie Bailey, Nila Inez Hudson, Margie Kirklen, Hannie Kathrine Ripley and Edna Cinderella Perry.
Memorials may be made to the Hill Country Memorial Hospital Thrift Store, the American Cancer Society or to the charity of choice.
