Early Life: Helen was born in Lehi, Utah, on July 17, 1919, the daughter of Charles Louis and Elfrieda Z. Peterson. Helen was raised on the Peterson family farm and graduated from Lehi High School in 1937.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: Helen married her loving husband, Vernon August Aberle, on March 12, 1947 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They are the parents of four children. Helen and Vernon built their home in Lehi and she resided there 60 years. Helen worked for Alpine School District, PTA Board, Larson's Nursing Home, Utah State Training School and was a caregiver to hundreds of people. She was the primary caregiver to her husband for over thirty years. She served as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a Sunday School teacher, Primary teacher, visiting teacher and many other callings. Helen kept a strong testimony of the gospel throughout her life and she lead her family by her faith. She was talented and gifted and many homes are graced by her handiwork of crocheting, knitting, ceramics, needlepoint and many delicious meals were shared by family, friends and neighbors. Helen Rose Peterson Aberle, of Lehi, Utah, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family. He was 93.
