After returning to the Flathead, she worked for Gene Riley at the Glacier Dairy in Kalispell. The family then moved to the farm south of Kalispell where Andy had a heavy hauling business. Later she managed the S and H Green Stamp store in Kalispell for 15 years.
Upon their retirement, they made several trips to Alaska and various other destinations, nearly always with fishing in mind. She usually was the one who caught the most and the biggest.

Ruth enjoyed playing cards and belonged to a couple of card clubs. She also enjoyed bowling, snowmobiliing, exercising at the senior center and socializing with her many friends there.
The family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Brendan House for the excellent care of our mother and grandmother.
