ODESSA Jerry Stephens Dillard, 76, of Odessa passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at his residence.

He was born July 8, 1932, in Decatur, Texas, to Jerry Ross Dillard and Lena Faye (Stephens) Dillard.

He was married to Shirley Carolyn McRae on July 17, 1953, in Decatur, Texas. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He retired from General Tire & Rubber Plant. He was associated with the Ector County Sheriff's Office for 23 years. He was also a Scoutmaster in the Boys Scouts of America for several years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Jerry Stephens Jr. and Jerry Glenn; and sister, Martha Young.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Dillard of Odessa; son, Kenny, and wife, Julie Dillard of Seattle, Washington; daughters, Sharon and husband, Dwayne Day, of Odessa, Margaret and husband, Royce Senn, of Kermit, Karen and husband, Michael Hampton, of Pottsboro, Texas; sisters, Janice Sims of Lubbock, Ann Lewis of Jacksboro; grandchildren including: Stephen, Chris and Jerry Senn, Amanda Rodriguez, Virginia Moore, Lauren and Will Dillard; and seven great-grandchildren.
