Donald K. Rimbey of White Township, Beaver Falls, died on Monday, October 15, 2012, in Providence Dementia Care Center, Beaver Falls.

Born November 27, 1921, in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late Lewis A. and Emma Esther (Kline) Rimbey. He was retired from Pittsburgh Bridge and Iron Company where he worked for over 30 years as a Master Machinist. He had also been employed by Westinghouse in Vanport and the Keystone Drilling Company in Beaver Falls. He was a proud soldier of the U.S. Army's 552nd Engineering Corp as a machinist. He drove a mobile shop through Western Europe supporting the corps in the construction (often under enemy fire) of pontoon bridges allowing the allied troops to traverse the many rivers of Europe during World War II. He was also a Little League and Pony League Baseball coach for the Beaver Falls Recreation Board in the late 1950's and the early 1960's. He and his wife were longtime members of the Happy Bunch square dancing group. More recently, he enjoyed spending time with his family during their annual family reunions in Deep Creek, MD.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 69 years, Sheryl R. (Snyder) Rimbey; two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald W. and Betty Rimbey, Robert A. and Karen Rimbey; three grandchildren, Darrin, Jocelyn, and Ryan Rimbey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Madeline (Wheeler) Rimbey, and two brothers, Lewis A. (Al) Rimbey and Irven Rimbey.

Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, www.hillandkunselman.com, where a service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jeff Youell, chaplain of Grane Hospice, officiating.

Entombment will follow in the Beaver Falls Cemetery Mausoleum, Chippewa Township.

The Beaver County Special Unit will meet at the Beaver Falls Cemetery Mausoleum on Friday at 11:25 a.m. to conduct full military rites.

Memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to The Alzheimer's Association, 1 East Station Square Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
