Bud Doyle
resident of Shoreline, WA, died at Swedish North Hospital in Edmonds, WA following a brief illness.
Bud was born and raised in Seattle, WA and he was one of two children born to Larry Doyle and Bernice (Churchill) Koski. His sister, Betty Lou Norstrom, and his parents preceded him in death.
After graduating from Queen Ann High School, he worked at Boeing until he enlisted in the Army. He is a veteran of WWII where he served with the 8th Air Force, 389th Bomb Group, in Europe and North Africa. During his service, he earned ribbons and medals including two Silver Battle Stars and a Unit Citation. He left the Army on September 21, 1945. He returned to Seattle and worked for Buchan Baking Co. While working for Buchan's he met his wife, Peggie (Karanson) Doyle, on his delivery route in Everett, WA. They were married on September 21, 1947. After 20 years with Buchan's, he worked for Gai's Bakery until he retired in 1983.
His beloved wife, Peggie, died in 2005. He considered his marriage to Peggie as his greatest accomplishment. He died on what would have been their 63rd wedding anniversary.
He leaves his best friend, Jean Thompson; his son, Drake B. Doyle; his grandson, Alec M. Doyle; nephew, George Danas; "niece", Darcy Rice; along with countless other family and friends who were blessed to know him.
Bud touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark ability to recount the events in his life all the way to the end.
