Robert Felix Doss was the only son of Felix Martin Doss and Vera Mae Crawford.

He had three other siblings, Katherine Elizabeth Doss, Jolene Doss and Barbara Doss.

Bob, as he was called, was born disabled and was cared for and loved dearly by his family and all who knew him.

The doctor that was responsible for Barbara's botched birth and the near death of Vera Mae was the same doctor who delivered Bob and it is believed that his generally poor skills as a doctor resulted in Bob being disabled as he may have injured Bob during his delivery.

Robert appears in the 1940, Amarillo, Potter County, Texas Census with his parents and two of his siblings, Jolene and Barbara.

His gravestone was paid for when Vera Mae and Felix Martin purchased their gravestones. It is possible that he may not be buried, but cremated and not deposited in the grave, as it would have been a long trip from his death location in Hot Springs. His remains may be with Barbara's daughter, Debbie, but this is unknown.
