Beryl, a native of Fairchild, Wisconsin and resident of Santa Fe; was predeceased by parents Charles and Margaret Martin; and husband Gene in 1998.
Beryl was survived by her sons: Bob (wife Bonnie) of Concord, California and Don (wife Vicki) of Farmington, New Mexico; grandson Jared Allen (wife Joy) of Oak Harbor, Washington; great-granddaughters: Audrey and Amy (husband Dennis Sanders) of La Habra, California; sisters Rosemary Williams of Minnesota and Eileen Anderson of Tennessee; brothers: David Martin of Texas and James Martin of Wisconsin.
Beryl was the third of eight children. At the end of World War II, she moved to California for a teaching job and met Eugene V. Allen. They were married in Carmel in June of 1948. Beryl and Gene moved to Santa Fe for teaching jobs in 1952. Beryl taught at least two generations of Santa Fe first graders at Larragoite Elementary School. Beryl retired from Santa Fe Public Schools in 1984.
Funeral service was on July 23, 2012 at Berardinelli Family Funeral Service Chapel. Burial followed in the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
