Obituary for Dewey Andrews

Dewey Larkin Andrews died Sunday, June 19, 2005, at his home in Greenwell Springs at age 85 and a former resident of Pineville. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Denham Springs and was a former member of Kingsville Baptist Church in Pineville.

He was retired from Rapides General Hospital with seven years of service and worked for AA Gremillion Construction Co. for 20 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, during which he served as an observer on Diamond Head, Hawaii, for three years after Pearl Harbor.

Visitation was at Greenoaks Funeral Home Monday and Tuesday until religious services at the funeral home, 21 Jun 2005. Interment was in Greenwood Memorial Park.

He is survived by his wife, Adis Andrews of Greenwell Springs; three sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Dianne Andrews of Greenwell Springs, Kenneth and Marty Andrews of Pace, Fla., and Glynn and Kay Andrews of Denham Springs; a brother, Robert Perry Andrews of Pineville; six grandchildren, Donna Smith, Michelle Crenshaw, Glynnda McDonald, Dage Andrews, Brad Andrews and Stephen Andrews; and six great-grandchildren, Morgan, Cory and Cacie Smith, Collin Trahan, Larkin Crenshaw and Nolan McDonald.
