Harold was born Jan. 15, 1920, to the (late) Joseph and Estella (Neese) Frantz in Springfield. He was a graduate of Lawrenceville High School (Ohio), a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, and worked at the Buckeye State Mutual Insurance Company for 38 years before retiring as vice president of claims in 1985.
He married Doris (Neher) Frantz in 1943, and had three sons, Tamas, Eric and Jeffrey. Harold is survived by his son, Jeffrey and LeeAnn Frantz of Encinitas, Calif.; granddaughter, Jessica and her husband, Jon Plasencia of Seal Beach, Calif.; great-granddaughter, Addison; granddaughter, Nicole of Irvine, Calif.; son, Eric Frantz and fiancée, Dineen Ryals of Elyria; granddaughter, Amanda Palmer and great-granddaughter, Emma of Canandaigua, N.Y.; grandson, Jason and fiancée, Colette Trapasso of Tonawanda, N.Y.; grandson, Ryan of Canandaigua, N.Y.; grandson, Christian of Canandaigua, N.Y.; sister, Marjorie Roeth of Troy; and sisters-in-law, Anne Tritch of Englewood and Louise Frantz of Springfield; and a host of nieces and nephews.
