Mrs. Hans Antonson (Carrie)
Mrs. Hans Antonson was born in Hedemarken (Hedmark today) Norway, January 6, 1860 and passed away at the Minnewaska hospital in Glenwood, October 26, 1940 at 11:30 pm being at the time of her death, 80 years, 9 months, and 20 days.
Carrie Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christ Johnson came to America in 1888 and settled in Alexandria, where her brother Simon lived. In 1891 she was married to Hans Antonson in Alexandria and they lived in Alexandria for several years when they moved to a homestead Mr. Antonson had in Osakis township. They moved to Alexandria 20 years ago and have been members of Bethany Home since December 10, 1930.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 31 at 2 pm at the Bethany Home and interment was made in the Danish cemetery at Nelson; Dr. O. O. Gustafson officiating.
Miss Irene Brundell and Evangeline Anderson sang a duet in Swedish, "In the Morning", "I Without Sin Shall Wake" and Misses Ebba Anderson, Irene Brundell and Genevieve Gulbranson sang a trio in English, "Rock of Ages" accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Gustafson.
Pallbearers were Carl Johnson, Paul Johnson, Ole Johnson, Mr. Frederickson, P.O. Karlberg and Nels Nelson.
