Reuben H. Anderson
Reuben H. Anderson was born in Alexandria, Minnesota, on October 28, 1904, the son of Otto and Ellen (Olson) Anderson. He attended No. 50 District School and grew to manhood in this area. He was called into the Military Services during World War II and served his country as a member of the Army. Returning to Alexandria following the war, Reuben worked as a farm laborer for several years. He died on Saturday, October 1, 1983 at the Douglas County Hospital at the age of 78 years.
Reuben is survived by sister: Wilhelmina Wetternach of Alexandria. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Reuben was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services were Wednesday, October 5, 1983 at 1:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Chapel, Alexandria, Minnesota with Rev. Owen Doely officiating. Interment was in the Nelson Cemetery, Nelson, Minnesota. Pallbearers were Keith Holleschau, David John Olson, Bruce Wetternach, Brian Wetternach, Richard Lodin and Jeffery Lodin.
Soloist was Dolly Miller and organist was Carolyn Engholm. Military honors by the American Legion Post No. 87. Arrangments were with the Anderson Funeral Home.
