Fern married Max Ben Rigby on March 20, 1946 in the Logan LDS Temple.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints her whole life and served in many church callings. Fern served with Max in the North Carolina Raleigh Mission where they made life-long friends. She loved crocheting, reading, traveling and especially spending time with her family.
Fern retired from the Telephone Company. She was "Grandma" to everyone who came in her home. She leaves a legacy of kindness and unconditional love.
Surviving are her three children: Maxine (Myron) Richins of Henefer, Utah; Paula (Nolan) Fawcett of Layton, Utah; Roger (Ermona) Rigby of Kaysville, Utah; 13 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and sister Alice Gerber, St. George, Utah.
Preceded in death by her husband Max, parents, granddaughter Megan, four brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 5, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Kaysville LDS Tabernacle, 198 West Center Street. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the tabernacle. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
