James F. Meriweather Sr., 47, of 7708 Sundance Drive, died there Monday.
He was a native of Guthrie, a retired assistant principal for Jefferson County Board of Education and a member of First Baptist Church in Jeffersontown.
Survivors: his wife, the former Doris Coleman; a son, James F. Meriwether Jr.; a stepdaughter, Adriane Smith; his mother, Jamesella Meriwether; and a brother, Timothy Meriwether.
The body was cremated.
Memorial service: 8 p.m. Thursday, A. D. Porter & Sons Funeral Home, 1300 W. Chestnut St.
