Mrs. SARAH HOOPER CHERRY b Sumner Co., Tenn., Dec. l, 1796; d June 25, 1870; after her mother's death she and her father made a home with her older sister in Giles Co., Tenn., until Oct. 1827 when she married Rev. John M. Cherry of Athens, Ala., where they lived until he died Oct. 11, 1839; left with 4 children; moved to Giles Co., Tenn. in 1845, after living in Athens 5-6 years; buried in Murfreesboro, Tenn.; survived by two sons, three daughters-in law and four grandchildren.
