LEOPOLD MILLER FATALLY INURED

Aged Geneseoan is Struck by Grandson's Automobile --Skull Fractured Geneseo July 25--Struck by an automobile driven by his grandson, Leopold Miller, 78, was fatally injured about 10:30 last evening and died in the city hospital of skull fracture at 12:20 this afternoon. He was crossing South Center street to his home from the city park where he had attended an age pension meeting, when the accident occurred. Chester Miller, about 17, the grandson, was driving along the street and did not see the man until too late. Mr. Miller was immediately taken to the hospital. Born in Germany Aug. 26, 1857, he was wed to Wilhelmina Parpart in Geneseo in 1885. He was a member of Edford St. Peter's church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ida Yahnke, Mrs. Minnie Schuetzler, and Mrs. Louise Hamann: five sons, Arthur, Rudolph, Henry, Herman and Harvey, all of Geneseo: and three daughters, Mrs. Herman Miller, Mrs. Fred Pobanz of Geneseo and Mrs. Borst of Rock Island. Inquest will be held tonight. (Please note the last statement three daughters the paper should have said three sisters)
