Albert was born on September 1st, 1929 in Ravia to Emmett Eugene Akins and Quinne Beatrice (Futch) Akins. He attended Ravia Schools and married Wanda Faye Benge on February 27th, 1954 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Albert worked for many years as a road grader operator for the City of Tishomingo and Johnston County District #3. He loved to coon hunt and fish as his hobbies and attended the Ravia Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Bob, Eugene and John; three sisters, Madlee Boyles, Evelyn Stewart, and Lucille Carroll; also, a son-in-law, Sheldon Dickerson.
Albert is survived by his wife Wanda; three sons, Kenneth Akins and wife Audra, Billy Akins and wife Judy and Dewayne Akins and wife Debbie, all of Ravia; three daughters, Linda Byles and husband Jim of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, Debbie Dickerson, and Susan Worcester and husband Jimmy, all of Ravia; three sisters, Joyce Peek, Darlene Burtzo and Virginia Ann Sturges; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers for the service will be: Jeremy Worcester, Brent Worcester, Matt Akins, Jimmy Byles, Wade Akins and Bobby Akins. Honorary Bearers will be: Steve Peek, Stuart Peek, Casey Estep, Byron Thompson, Jimmy Worcester, Tyler Akins and Landon Byles.
