She was born March 15, in Buffalo, N.Y., and received her education at Oldfields Academy in Maryland. She married Ralph C. Angell Jr. in 1935. Mrs. Angell had lived in the Portland area since the 1940s.
She worked for the Burke-Arenz Music Co. in the 1950s and had been an executive secretary for the Portland Junior Symphony, now called the Portland Youth Philharmonic, from 1960 until 1970. In the 1950s and '60s, she had been active in the Portland Civic Theatre. Her husband died in the 1970s.
Mrs. Angell was preceded in death by a son, Terry. She is survived by her son, Christopher L. of Guatemala City, Guatemala; and a granddaughter.
