Susan E. Mattson Brown, 51, Orofino
Sue, 51, Orofino, passed away July 13, 2012, after a courageous four-month battle with cancer. Sue was born Dec. 19, 1960 in Orofino to Jerry and Carolyn Mattson. She graduated from Orofino High School in 1979. On Oct. 30, 1993, she married Lorne Brown and they had their daughter, Danielle Rae Brown, in 1994. They later divorced.
She worked for Coleman Oil in Lewiston, Atkinson Distributing, Tripco Inc. and Nightforce Optics in Orofino.
She is survived by her daughter, Danielle; her mother, Carolyn; her sister, Cheri and husband, Montie Walker; brother, Doug and wife Mary Ann Mattson; brothers, Rusty and Mike Mattson; niece, Misty Walker and fiancé', Jason Habeck and her daughter, Allie Chaye. Sue was preceded in death by her father, Jerry.
A celebration of Sue will be Friday, July 20, at the home of Ed and Dawn Lanphier, 199 Debertin Dr./ Orofino Golf Course Rd., from 5 to 9 p.m. Please bring a covered dish, your own beverage and lawn chairs. In lieu of flowers, a college savings account for her daughter has been established at Potlatch No. 1 Federal Credit Union.
Sue, we love and miss you so very much. You will be in our hearts for a lifetime and forever in our souls.
