Jane Klump, 71, of Shaws Bend, passed away on Sept. 19, in Shaws Bend.
She was born on July 23, 1941 to George and Ora (Needham) Bertling in Cistern. Jane worked as a cook for Columbus Community Hospital for 28 years. On March 20, 1965 she married Glenn Klump whom preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 2002.
Jane is survived by her two sons, Dean Scott Klump of Shaws Bend, and Chad Eric Klump and fiancée Tanya Jones of Shaws Bend; special friend of the family, Robert Cerda of Shaws Bend; sister, Margie Wendt and husband Buddie of Bellville; brother, Louis Bertling and wife Ruby of Willow Springs; half-brother, Jack Bertling and wife Maxine of Moulton; and grandchildren, Brittney Valenzuela, Angie Klump, Robert Chavez, Michael Chavez, Margie Chavez and Aric Cerda.
She was preceded in death by husband, Glenn "Mookie" Klump; father, George Bertling; mother, Ora (Needham) Bertling; sister, Joyce Bertling; brothers, Melvin Bertling and Charles Bertling; and great grandchild, Izabella Valenzuela.
Funeral services took place on Saturday, Sept. 22, at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus with the Rev. Sam Brannon officiating. Burial followed at the Brune Cemetery in Shaws Bend.
Pallbearers were Robert Cerda, Marcus Valenzuela, Craig Wick, Neil Bertling, Kyle Poenitzsch and Jared Rutta. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Chavez, Michael Chavez and Aric Cerda.
