Mrs. Bersheba Abbey, one of the pioneers of New Albany, died at her residence on Bank street, last night. Mrs. Abbey was over eighty years of age and for some years has been in feeble health. She was a woman of kind heart, and many are the charities she has performed. Her last days were not her happiest ones, for misfortune bore heavily upon her. She has gone, however, where the wicked cease from troubling, and the weary are at rest. Her funeral will take place to-morrow (Thursday) at 10 o'clock a.m. - New Albany Daily Ledger 30 Mar 1870
