Thelma Carolyn Johnson, 84,resident of Tracy, California and former resident of Onalaska and Tenino, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010 at Sutter-Tracy Hospital in Tracy, California.
Born July 3, 1926 in Abash, Indiana to Loren and Vera Carpenter, Thelma was a homemaker and mother of ten.
She is survived by four sons, Terry (Jeri) Johnson of Whitmore, CA; David (Mary Ann) Johnson of Tenino; Darrell (Kim) Johnson of Arlington, and Dennis Johnson of Henderson, NV; six daughters, Deborah (Dale) Whited of Moses Lake; Carrell (Phil) Simmons of Tenino ; Vera Iselin Camobell of Salem, OR; Sharon (Ken) Peterson of Tracy, CA; one brother, Raymond Carpenter of Indiana, and five sisters, Marylin Hoy, Phyllis Meyers, Julia Rayspholz, Doroty Barlow and Doris B. Forbes, all of Indiana.
She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and one great- great grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, from 3-5 p.m. At Newell-Hoerling's Chapel in Centralia. Funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, starting at 11 a.m. At Newell-Hoerling's Chapel.
Interment will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery in Tenino.
Arrangements are under the care of Newell-Hoerling's Chapel, Centralia.
