LAYTON-Jerol Edvin Brown, age 44, passed away Sunday, May 2, 1999 at his home. He was born November 19, 1954 in Ogden, Utah, a son of John Thomas and Hazel LaRane Jensen Brown. He married Patty Kirk, July 26, 1974 in the Ogden LDS Temple. Jerol was reared and educated in Kaysville, graduated from Davis High in 1973 and had resided in Layton the past 22 years. He was a member of the Layton Cherry Lane LDS Ward, had served as a scout leader, Elder's Quorum president, as a Seventy and many other church callings. He worked at Hill Air Force Base as an Aircraft Electrician for 25 years. Jerol loved planes. Jerol had a great sense of humor. He loved and enjoyed his four sons very much, enjoyed astronomy, bird watching and loved the ocean. Jerol was a friend to everyone who he touched. Jerol was trustworthy. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.Surviving are his loving wife of 25 years, Patty; four sons, Kirk J. (Texie) Brown; Clint T Brown and finance, Karly; Levi E. Brown; Luke J. Brown, all of Layton, UT; his mother, LaRane J. Brown, Kaysville, Utah; one brother, Glen Thomas Brown, Kaysville; in-laws, Cecil and Blanche Kirk, Layton, Utah; his two dogs, Chief and Vukota. He was preceded in death by his father, John Thomas Brown. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 6, 1999 at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road, where friends and family may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment in Kaysville City Cemetery.
