|This is a picture of Stanley Carl Fauver and his grandfather, Daniel A. Clingaman. It was featured in a newspaper Oct. 11, 1926. The headline reads: GRANDFATHER IS BOY'S PAL|
The article reads: Wauseon, Oct. 11-Daniel Clingaman has just celebrated his 80th birthday in his home three miles north of Wauseon. Mr. Clingaman is one of the pioneers of Fulton County and has added much to its progress. He has two children, Peter M. of Wauseon and his daughter, Mrs. Carl Fauver, with whom he makes his home. Mr. Clingaman is a Civil War veteran and finds time to attend the meetings of the G.A.R. His constant companion is his grandson, Stanley Fauver, shown in the accompanying picture with Mr. Clingaman.
Note: Stanley Fauver was my father and Daniel was my great grandfather.
Grandpa Clingaman was 80 when this photo was taken. He looks more like a 60 year old, IMHO.
