died of a self inflicted gunshot wound to the temple from a 4 barreled Sharp's revolver in Druid hill Park.
He was a sugar importer with the firm Stirling, Ahrens & Co.
No known reason why he committed suicide. Found in his pockets was a deposit slip for $17,000.00 at Alex Brown & Son's, $70.15 in cash, a gold watch and chain, cigarettes and some personal papers. His father was a German merchant in Hamburg who just recently died and left him a fortune and his mother was a Spanish lady from the West Indies.
