Albert served in the Illinois Infantry- Union side for several years. He married Isabel (Wright) Britt on August 24th, 1851 in Owen County, Indiana. She passed away in 1856. They had two known children together:
1) James Dawson Britt
2) Walter Harley Britt
He then married Barbara Ann (Pollock) Britt September 8th, 1857. Their kids known together were:
3) William A. Britt
4) George Britt
5) Henry Britt
6) Malvina Britt
7) Theodore J. Britt
His mother and father are buried with his brother, Singleton Britt, in Indiana. The family seemed to live between Indiana, Illinois, and the Sedalia and Green Ridge areas of Missouri.
