Harriett Ruth "Sissy" Scott Babcock, 91, of Tulsa, Okla., passed away Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, in Tulsa.

Harriett was born on the Scott family farm west of Jacksonville, on April 29, 1921, to Harvey Dixon and Martha Wheeler Scott. On Feb. 2, 1946, she married Nathan Earl Babcock, and they made their home in LaGrange.

She returned to Jacksonville in 1995, where she resided until 2010. She was a member of Grace Methodist Church in Jacksonville, the Jacksonville Country Club and numerous bridge clubs.

Harriett was predeceased by her parents; husband Nathan; brothers, Dr. Harvey Dixon Scott Jr. and Edward Wheeler Scott; and nephew, Dr. Harvey Dixon Scott III.

Services will be at Joy Lutheran Church in Tulsa, Okla., Wednesday at 1 p.m. Graveside rites will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Liberty Cemetery, west of Jacksonville. Memorials may be made to the . Bixby Funeral Service in Bixby, Okla, is in charge of arrangements.
