Ruthvan "Bruce" Seymour

Byron - Ruthvan "Bruce" Seymour 67 of Rural Byron, died Wednesday March 29, at Swedish American Hospital following a short illness.

He was born Nov 27, 1927 in Belvidere, the son of Raymond, Sr. and Bonnie (Cowen) Seymour. He married Wilma McNames Aug 10, 1963, in Byron.

He worked for Camcar Textron Inc., in Rockford for 23 years, and was a World War II Veteran.

Survivors include his wife Wilma; Byron; three sons Roger and Marvin Seymour, Belvidere and Gary (Carrie) Seymour, Byron; and a stepson Allen Gates, of Dodgeville, Wis.; a step-daughter Barb Gates Florida; a brother, Raymond (Jeanette) Seymour, Jr. Belvidere; two sisters, Lorraine (Bruce) Spencer, and Lucille Grimes, Belvidere; several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was prececeased by his parents and a brother.

Graveside services were held Monday, April 3, at the Byron Cemetery, with the Rev. Don Holmertz, Pastor of Valley Evangelical Covenant Church officiating.

A memorial fund has been established for the family.
