Blues Musician. He almost single handedly created the "West Coast" style of blues. A young Ray Charles got his first big breaks playing in Lowell's band and so did jazz saxophonist, Stanley Turrentine. He was a kind and gentle man who eagerly shared his talents for those willing to work hard and learn. He has several hits to his name, among them, "Reconsider Baby" and "The Tramp."
