She was born in Laurel, Miss. on August 13, 1950 daughter of the Sam Moffett of Laurel, Miss. and the late Bessie Jean Brown Moffett.
She was a 1968 graduate of Academy High School. She worked in the billing and repair department at Verizon. She was a devoted mother and enjoyed reading, shopping, and being around her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Arrington, a sister, Ruth Moffett, a brother, Samuel Moffett, two nephews, Edward and Dwayne Moffett.
She is survived by a son, DeAngelo Arrington of Erie, four daughters, Angela Mayo of New London, Conn., Nichole Mayo, Monica Mayo, Nyiah Mayo, Erika Arrington all of Erie, two brothers, Edward Moffett and Julius Moffett and his wife Estelle all of Erie. Further survived by 12 grandchildren, a god daughter, Stephanie Goodwin, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home, 602 West 10th Street, Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a service at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 160 West 20th Street, Friday at 1 p.m. with Weyman B. Stephens, Jr., Pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Erie Cemetery. Memorials may be made to The Regional Cancer Center, 2500 West 12th , Erie, PA 16505.
