Allen, who died over forty years ago, and is survived by three sons, Lewis W., James T. and Henry H. Allen, and one daughter, Mrs. William H. Ratliff, all of this city. She also leaves two brothers, Henry H. Wicks and John A. Wicks, also of this city. She was a member of Wesley Chapel, joining the congregation when it worshipped in the "Old Ship" on Lower First street. She was a greatly respected woman and was held in high esteem by all who knew her as a sincere Christian woman. The funeral took place Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from Wesley Chapel, the pastor, the Rev. L. C. Jeffrey conducting the same and preaching the funeral discourse.
