Alice was the daughter of John B. & Elenza M. (Stokes) Bird.

Her siblings were Milton W., Fulton M., Clinton C., Benton C., & Preston.

She married a widower, Dr. William Alexander Barton, in Jack Co, TX on Oct. 30, 1890.

Alice gave birth to six children from 1892 - 1906: Myrtle Lourena, William P., Gladys B., Hazel, Earle, & Vivian.

More about the family can be seen on William's memorial. He died in Bellevue on May 7, 1922.

In 1930 she lived in Dallas. At the age of 65 she was employed as a practical nurse at Juliette Fowler Home for the Aged, Sarah Harwood Hall.

She died in Dallas on Feb. 2, 1935 & was buried beside her husband in Bellevue.
