Jeanette Castleman, 75, of Oskaloosa, died Thursday, September 6, 2012, at the MHP Hospital in Oskaloosa. She was born November 29, 1936, in Franklin County, Illinois, the daughter of Walter and Martha Bruce Walker. On October 3, 1956, she was united in marriage to Clyde Castleman in San Diego, California. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and bowling.
She is survived by her husband of over 55 years, Clyde Castleman of North Hills, California; seven children, Cynbthia Shaw of Benton, Illinois, Roxsann Boesel of Gary, Indiana, Crystal(James)Lewis of Oskaloosa, Martha Castleman of Centerville, Iowa, Raliegh(Aricelli)Castleman of Las Vegas, Nevada, Carmen Castleman of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Amber Castleman, of Covington, Georgia; 21 grandchildren; and 36 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Geraldine; and a great grandson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 8, 2012, at 3 pm in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with Reverend Jack Engle officiating. As was her wish her body will be cremated following the ceremony. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. The family will be at the Bates Funeral Chapel from 2 pm until service time to greet friends and relatives.
